La actuació serà un concert amb iPOD i PDA junt amb els participants del workshop. Una JamSession utilitzant dispositius portàtils, i fent servir software i algoritmes propis; per transformar els aparells de reproducció de mp3 (pensats per escoltar música com consumidors) en instruments, convertint-se el consumidor en productor i persona creativa.
Guenter Geiger treballa com a investigador de sistemes de generació de música per ordinador. Va realitzar la versió GNU/Linux (un sistema operatiu basat en programari lliure), de Pure Data i de la llibreria Gem, i va inaugurar la llista de correu per Pd. També és autor de la versió de Pd per portàtils Pure Data anywhere (PDa).
Günter Geiger, born in 1969 in Lauterach/Austria, currently living in Barcelona/Spain. During his studies of Telematics and Sound Engeneering from 1988 to 1997 he has been working at the Institute for Electronic Music in Graz/Austria. Moved to Vienna in 1998, where he worked for a short time on Speech Processing for Philips and later as a free lancer building and realizing sound installation. Started working at the Music Technology Group, Pompeu Fabra University in Oct 2001.
Ported the Realtime Computer Music system PD and its graphical extensionGEM to the Linux platform. Realization of several sound installations with different partners, for the ARS electronica/Linz, labyrinth festival Kopenhagen, Haus der Musik/Vienna, Project ID/Vienna.Member of epy (http://epy.co.at).
